The Council's Housing Strategy for 2021-2026 (PDF) was approved at the Environment, Enforcement & Housing Committee on the 16th March 2021.
The aim of the Housing Strategy is to focus on the delivery of the objectives which are set out in the Council's Corporate Plan and will operate in conjunction with the Council's Corporate plan and core Housing Services Documents:
- Our Allocation Policy sets out how social housing in the borough will be prioritised for households in need;
- Our Housing Revenue Account Business Plan (PDF) describes the long-term investment plan for our own housing stock;
- Our Rent Setting Policy 2021-24 (pdf) which describes the rent setting mechanisms for social housing.
