Hearing Sessions
A hearing has been arranged for the Inspectors to explore the main issues and questions relating to the legal compliance and soundness of the Brentwood Borough Council Local Plan 2016-2033.
Hearing sessions have already taken place on the following dates:
- Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 December 2020
- Friday 11 December 2020
- Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 February 2021
- Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 February 2021
- Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 February 2021
Further hearing sessions are due to take place on the following dates:
- Tuesday 9 to Thursday 11 March 2021
Hearing sessions will continue at 09:30 on Tuesday 9 March 2021 and will normally run between 09:30 and 11:00, 11:30 and 13:00 and 14:00 and 15:30 each day.

Hearing sessions will be taking place virtually by means of Microsoft Teams thus overcoming the restrictions of the Covid 19 pandemic. The virtual hearing will be as similar as possible to a physical hearing in the way that it is run and will be conducted in a fair, open and impartial manner.
Participants will be invited to join their session using an electronic link sent in an invitation from the Programme Officer. For those invited to attend a virtual hearing event, further information will be provided in a guidance note for participants. Participants without access to the internet can dial-in to the virtual hearing by telephone. Please note that only those who made a valid representation against the Brentwood Local Plan 2016-2033 (Regulation 19 Public Consultation) have the right to speak at the examination.

The hearing sessions will be available for non-participants and the public to watch on the internet via YouTube.
