Lighthouse Furniture Project Ltd are a not for profit Social Enterprise and Registered Charity that provides good quality furniture and household items to those on low incomes. They do this by receiving and collecting furniture and other items generously given by local people.

Other bulky waste items
To arrange a collection of a bulky waste item, complete our online form:
The charges are £12 per item with a minimum charge of £24.
Collections are on Mondays. When booking you will have the option of selecting the first date available. Collections may be delayed when there is a public holiday. We're not held responsible for items being collected by a third party in advance of your special collection.
All items must be moved to a visible location outside the property by 7:30am. Items will be collected any time between 7:30am and 3pm.
Be mindful when placing porous items such as sofas and mattresses outside prior to the day of collection as items may be too heavy to collect if waterlogged.
We are unable to collect the following items:
- American or industrial fridge freezers
- Garden sheds or Green Houses
- Garden Waste
- Gas Canisters
- Storage Heaters
- Construction and Trade Waste or Hardcore
- Surf boards
- Motorised treadmills
- Mirrors, windows or glass cabinets
- Table Tennis tables

Cancel a collection
To cancel or rearrange a Council bulky waste collection, complete our online form:
For collections that are cancelled 24 hours or more prior to 7:30am on the scheduled collection day, a full refund will be paid. Cancellations made with less than 24hrs notice will incur an £11 admin fee.
