  • Essential Living Fund - can help pay for furniture, clothing, fuel and daily living expenses such as food and toiletries
  • Salvation Army - offers emergency help to those in need
  • Essex County Council - processes free school meal applications for some Essex schools. If the school is not listed, you should contact the school directly.

  • Essex Wellbeing Service - Essex residents who are registered with a GP and are aged 16 years and over, can receive health and wellbeing support such as quit smoking, social isolation support, weight management or help with day-to-day needs
  • Kooth - Free, safe and anonymous online counselling and emotional wellbeing platform for children and young people

  • NHS: Every Mind Matters - There are things that we can all do to look after our mental health. The site provides expert advice and practical tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing
  • Peabody - provides free support, information and advice for people with housing related issues. This could include managing your tenancy, getting out of debt, or finding work.
  • Samaritans - provides telephone support for people who are struggling to cope. Support is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Special Needs and Parents - an Essex charity for families with children and young people who have any additional need or disability
