Waste and Recycling
Garden waste collections will restart on Tuesday April 14. Due to the Coronavirus crisis we had to suspend the garden and glass collection on March 30. To maximise resources during this challenging time, the glass collection remains suspended so please continue to store your glass safely and it will be collected when the service is reinstated.
The resources required to deliver this service will be continually reviewed daily and updates on the service will be provided on our social media in addition to this website. Please continue to check this page for further updates.
We appreciate your support at this difficult time.
The safety and welfare of our staff and residents is a matter of importance to us and we continue to follow government guidance regarding social distancing. Therefore, on some occasions it may not be possible to carry out the garden waste collection. If we are unable to collect garden waste on a particular day we will try and inform you via SMS, if you have signed up to the scheme, alternatively refer to this website for daily updates on which service is running.
What happens if we cannot pick up your green waste?
We ask that you store your green waste and place out for collection on your next scheduled garden waste collection day.
Unfortunately, due to the current situation we do not have the resource to return and collect reported missed collections of garden waste. Instead we ask that you store your green waste and place out for collection on your next scheduled garden waste collection day.
Glass Collection Service
Apologies, but due to the current situation the glass collection service has been suspended until further notice.
