Trees in Brentwood's open spaces or parks

Excluding Thorndon and Weald country parks, Brentwood Borough Council is responsible for trees in our parks and open spaces and should be advised of any of the following situations:

  • Uprooting/Fallen trees
  • Structurally unsound trees
  • Broken, hanging or fallen branches
  • Trees proven to be implicated in subsidence/insurance claims
  • Dead, dying or diseased trees
  • Branches touching property

Please note that the Council does not provide an advisory service for trees on private land. Details of approved tree surgeons in the local area can be found on the Arboricultural Association website.

Oak Processionary Moth

Caterpillars of the Oak Processionary Moth (OPM) are a pest which can be a hazard to the health of oak trees, people and animals in affected areas.

Country parks
