Hedge maintenance

The maintenance of Council owned hedges takes place between July and August each year.

High hedges

Make a complaint to the council If the height of a high hedge adversely affects the enjoyment of a residential property

Tree preservation orders

The Council has the power to protect trees with amenity value by granting a Tree Preservation Order.

Trees in Brentwood's open spaces or parks

Excluding Thorndon and Weald country parks, Brentwood Borough Council is responsible for trees in our parks and open spaces.

Trees on highways

Essex County Council is responsible for the maintenance of trees on road verges in Brentwood.
