Brentwood Borough Council will introduce the MiPermit app, a digital pay-by-phone parking system, across all Council-owned car parks in the borough from Thursday 19 June. 

Brentwood Borough Council has formally issued planning permission for four major industrial units, which will provide over 112,000 sqm of floorspace with supporting office use at a development known as Brentwood Enterprise Park, which is adjacent to junction 29 of the M25.

Over 10,000 people attended the Strawberry Fair last Sunday, which this year also commemorated the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Held at King George’s Playing Fields, Brentwood’s annual fair brought the community together for a full day of activities and entertainment.

Brentwood Borough Council is progressing with its Local Plan Review and would like to explain the recent Call for Sites process, which invited landowners, developers, and members of the public to submit land for potential future use.

Brentwood Borough Council is inviting applications from not-for-profit organisations, registered charities and businesses for a share of funding available through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.  

Applications can be made for between £6,000 and £12,000 to support culture and sport initiatives delivered between 1 August 2025 and 31 March 2026.

Brentwood Borough Council has elected Councillor Jay Laplain as the Mayor of Brentwood for 2025/26.

Brentwood’s much-loved annual Strawberry Fair is back on Sunday 8 June from 12pm to 6pm at King George’s Playing Fields. 

Brentwood Borough Council has been awarded a consumer grading of C2 by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) – following an extensive inspection which took place in March this year.

The RSH sets the standards which social landlords, including local authorities, must deliver to ensure tenants experience high quality homes and services.
