Residents are invited to help Brentwood commemorate on Remembrance Day all those who sacrificed their lives for their country.

Brentwood's annual Remembrance Day Parade and Service will be taking place on Sunday 12 November.

The Council would like your views on how it spends its money and how it might raise more money to help set a balanced budget with increasing costs and reduced Government funding.

Brentwood Borough Council is working in partnership with the Essex Cultural Diversity Project to commission an artist to respond to the developing garden village at Dunton Hills.

Councillors agreed to carry out the necessary repairs in order to be able to reopen the public toilets in Brentwood High Street at a meeting of the Clean and Green Committee this week (Monday 11 September).

More than 40 local employers and training providers are joining us and Brentwood Jobcentre Plus at the Brentwood Jobs Fair next month.

Conservation work on the ruins of The Chapel of St Thomas a Becket is due to start on Monday 25 September.

The work is expected to take 8 weeks and will be carried out by Universal Stone Ltd and The Morton Partnership will manage the contract in conjunction with Historic England.

Following a period of public consultation, Brentwood Borough Council submitted the Draft CIL Charging Schedule to the Secretary of State for independent examination in March 2023. As part of its examination, the Charging Schedule was subject to a public hearing session on 11 July 2023.

Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone businesses have voted to create a unique Business Improvement District (BID) that will secure a significant £2m to be spent on improving the area.

Before the summer term came to a close, Brentwood Borough Council’s Strategic Housing Delivery Team alongside CEO Jonathan Stephenson and Chair of Housing, Health and Community Committee, Cllr Dr Tim Barrett, visited Willowbrook and St Joseph the Worker Primary Schools, which are within the area of the council’s first Zero Carbon Development, Brookfield Close in Hutton.
