Bagged household waste, food waste and recycling must only be placed out for collection on the designated collection day and left on the kerbside at the front of the property or we will assume you don't need a collection.
For household waste, you should use black sacks only as the use of any other colour may result in your waste not being collected as it may be assumed it contains recyclables or garden waste.
You will also need to present your food caddy for collection, containing your household food waste.
All domestic household properties in the Brentwood area receive a weekly refuse and food waste pick up.
Recycling is collected on alternate weeks, blue sacks (paper and cardboard) one week, and white sacks (cans and plastic), glass and garden waste on the other week.
To find your refuse and recycling collection day, view the Collection day.
Your household waste, food waste and recycling needs to be placed out for collection on the specified day.
You shouldn't place refuse sacks or recycling receptacles on the kerbside before to your collection day due to animals scavenging the black sacks and causing litter issues.
