New Business Briefing series launches to support Brentwood businesses

Date

Whether you run an established business in the borough or are thinking about starting up your own business, come along to the Brentwood Borough Business Briefing - a new series of free, in-person events designed to foster collaboration, share insights, and provide direct access to business support services.

The first briefing will take place on Wednesday 9 July, from 11:30am-1:30pm at Warley Park Golf Club, Magpie Lane, Little Warley, Brentwood, CM13 3DX.

This event offers a valuable opportunity for businesses of all sizes to connect with peers, hear from influential speakers, and learn about the latest support available to help them grow. Whether you are just starting out or looking to expand, the briefing is tailored to meet the needs of the Brentwood business community.

Speakers at the event will include Peter Smith, Partnership Director for the Lower Thames Crossing, who will discuss how the project aims to reduce congestion, improve journeys and unlock growth across the region. Ambitious Essex Growth Hub will outline Essex County Council’s refreshed business support offer. Attendees will also hear from Councillor David Kendall, Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee at Brentwood Borough Council, who will present the Council’s new Economic Growth Strategy 2025–2028, setting out a bold vision for Brentwood’s future.

In addition to the speaker programme, attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from a wide range of business support organisations, including Brentwood Chamber of Commerce, Ambitious Essex Growth Hub, Backing Essex Business, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Greater Essex Careers Hub and SEATS. These organisations will be on hand to offer free advice and resources to help your business thrive.

Cllr David Kendall, Chair of the Finance & Resources Committee, said “This free event is the first in a series of business events the Council will hold over the coming year to help our business community thrive. I encourage businesses within the Brentwood Borough or those who want to get a business started but not sure what support is available, to come along to this Business Briefing to engage with us and explore the exciting opportunities and support available from our partners.”
