The key functions of Planning Services are:

• Development Control - involving the processing of applications and appeals, the provision of pre-application advice and the enforcement of Planning controls
• Policy and Implementation - the preparation of the Local Development Framework and input into the Regional Plan

Planning News:

As from 10 August 2006, there is a compulsory requirement to submit a Design and Access Statement with certain planning and listed building consent applications.  More information on Design and Access Statements

Please also note that as from 10 August 2006, changes are to be made to outline planning applications.  In making such an application, the reserved matters will now comprise layout, scale, appearance, access and landscaping.  More information on changes.
