Now that summer is finally here, I would like to introduce to you all the wonderful events we have in Brentwood over the next few months. With the Festival of Sport, Brentwood Health Week and the Cycle Races for those feeling sporty and farmers’ markets and Brentwood Museum for those with more sedate tastes, there’s something for everyone in Brentwood this summer.
Brentwood residents can enjoy an explosive outdoor performance of EASTmeetsWEST – A Twilight Spectacle at Weald Country Park in September.

Government Requirement on Gypsy and Traveller Sites The Council is being required by the government to address the issue of Gypsy and Traveller accommodation in the Borough. This has to be through the preparation of a Gypsies and Travellers Development Plan Document (DPD), as part of the government required Local Development Framework. The consultation period for the suggested sites consultation document has now been extended. It will now end at 5pm on Friday 25th July 2008. more |

Your Highways, Your Say  For the first time, residents of Brentwood will now have far greater say over a whole range
of initiatives to improve their highway environment, from junction improvements and new
cycle paths to and highway tree and verge maintenance. Other schemes could include
replacing paving, installing new street furniture, clearing weeds and overgrowth and

EASTmeetsWEST - A twilight spectacle - book now  Booking of tickets has now begun for EASTmeetsWEST, part of the Essex-Jiangsu Cultural Festival, which takes place on Saturday 20th September. After performances by local school children & community groups, enjoy the haunting Moon Parade, which culminates with a fantastic promenade finale show. More |
Start to Get Healthy in Time for Summer  In partnership with many local organisations and businesses, the Borough Council has organised Brentwood Health Week to help us all to keep fit and stay active. There's a huge programme of activies available from 21st to 28th June.More |
