Annual Canvass of Properties
Household Enquiry Forms are delivered to each residential property to check who is currently living at the property and is eligible to register to vote. This annual canvass of all the properties in the borough is carried out each summer/autumn to ensure that the information we hold is as complete and accurate as possible.
Forms will be delivered to properties in the first three weeks of August 2018. Households have the opportunity to respond to the canvass online, by telephone, text or by completing the paper Household Enquiry Form. Reminders will be sent out to non-responding properties and canvassers will visit any remaining properties to gather the outstanding information.
The revised Register of Electors will be published at the beginning of December 2018.
You can vote in elections and referendums only if your name appears in the Register of Electors. Anyone eligible to register to vote who is not currently registered can make an application under Individual Electoral Registration.
