Brentwood Borough Council is inviting residents to have their say on the future of play areas in the area.
The Council manages playgrounds and parks across the borough, from multi-age facilities to small individual neighbourhood sites in housing areas. We are currently consulting ahead of developing our Play Area Strategy which will look at the future investment, development and maintenance of the play areas in the Borough of Brentwood.
Staff have been undertaking face-to-face consultation at the Council's Family Fun Days, but there is also an on-line version which can be completed by residents and visitors to Brentwood.
Brentwood Borough Council’s Chair of the Community, Health and Housing Committee, Councillor Chris Hossack, said: “Play is a vital part of young people’s everyday lives; as well as being fun, it is also important for physical health, mental well-being and social interaction.
Through the consultation, we are looking at how, where and why people visit and use the play areas in Brentwood. The information we gather will look at how we deliver our play area strategy going forward.
If you use the play areas and open spaces in Brentwood, please do have your say before the end of September.”
