Street Trading

Brentwood Borough Council has Street Trading to create a vibrant atmosphere in the town centre for residents, local businesses, visitors and shoppers. Further information and details of designated areas for the purpose of Street Trading can be found in the Street and Market Trading Policy in Brentwood High Street.

Brentwood Market

The Governments easing of the lockdown has allowed some non-essential retail to reopen, including open air markets from 1 June 2020. The Brentwood Retail and Farmers Market will therefore be re-opening on Friday 5 June 2020.

When visiting the market please ensure you practice social distancing and adhere to government guidance.

It is each stall holders responsibility to adhere to the guidance and operate safe working practices. The guidance may be subject to change at any time and it is therefore necessary to continue to check the government website for any updates. Further guidance is also provided on the Markets web page.

The market is held on Fridays and Saturdays in the High Street. We encourage a variety of different stalls and aim for no duplication of goods.

Anyone wishing to trade will need to have completed a Market Street Trading Application.

For enquiries relating to street trading in Brentwood or regarding having a stall on the market please email: licensing@brentwood.gov.uk
