(29th March 2020) Glass Recycling and Garden Waste Collections Suspended - Due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to stop all of our glass recycling and garden waste recycling collections, from Monday (30 March) until further notice. Collection of red boxes
As from tomorrow (Thursday 19th March 2020) all Town Hall reception services will be available online or by telephone (01277 312500) only. Please do not visit the Town Hall. Please check our Coronavirus web page for further updates
Red box - your glass recycling service kerbside collection
Place all your glass bottles and jars in your red recycling box. Collection is on a fortnightly basis. Check your Recycling Calendar for your Recycling Day.
Glass you can recycle in your red box:
- Green, blue, brown, clear, beer, wine and spirit bottles.
- Glass jam jars and other food jars
Glass you cannot recycle:
- Drinking glasses, ceramics or porcelain, Vision or Pyrex cookware, light bulbs, mirrors, windows, windscreens, plastic bottles, painted bottles
- Broken glass (please double wrap in newspaper and place in black sack)

Need a red box?
Red boxes can be ordered by completing the online form below and collected from the Town Hall reception during the following week on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
Please complete the online form below and indicate which day you would like to come in and collect. Please note: only pre- ordered red boxes can be collected from the Council reception.
