Press Release

Date: 12 April 2017

Brentwood Borough Council is urging residents to make sure they are on the electoral register.

Brentwood Borough will go to the polls for the Essex County Council elections on Thursday 4 May. You have until midnight on Thursday 13 April to register your details online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

To register, you need to include your national insurance number and date of birth in your application. Alternatively, you can call Brentwood Borough Council’s Elections office on 01277 312708 or 312500 for information.

Phil Ruck, the Electoral Registration Officer at Brentwood Borough Council, said: “If you are not registered to vote at your current address, please ensure you do so as soon as possible before the deadline on 13 April.

If you are not registered, you won’t be able to have your say. The process is easier as you can register online, and it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.”
