Local Strategic Partnership

The Brentwood Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is an important partnership that represents a new way of working for all those organisations and agencies responsible for the provision of services to Brentwood people.

The Brentwood LSP is a voluntary partnership bringing together the different parts of the public sector as well as the private, voluntary and community sectors to work together in promoting or improving the economic, social and environmental well being of the Brentwood Borough.

The LSP aims to take a strategic overview of the Brentwood Borough and plan for the provision of services and facilities to improve the quality of life of the whole community.

The LSP acts as an umbrella group for all the partnerships within the Borough, and is committed to co-ordinated and co-operative working to ensure that the Brentwood Borough remains a pleasant and healthy place in which to live, work and relax for the benefit of current and future generations.

The Brentwood Local Strategic Partnership is responsible for:

• Identifying and responding to the priorities and needs of the Brentwood community.
• Preparing and implementing a Community Strategy for the Borough.
  Developing action plans to achieve the agreed objectives of the Community Strategy.
• Monitoring progress against the action plans and ensuring that the Community Strategy is kept up to date.
• Acting strategically to deliver decisions and actions which join up partners' activities across a range of issues.
• Enabling partner organisations to address issues and plan services which matter to local people.
• Reducing duplication and bureaucracy between partners.
  Promoting equality and inclusion.
