Leasehold & Right to Buy Officer (Housing Services)

1x Position (37 hours per week)

Permanent contract

Grade E (SCP23 - 27): £23,249 - £26,389 p.a.

Job particulars

(Starting salary dependent upon skills and qualifications, progression subject to satisfactory performance)

Brentwood Borough Council is looking for a new Leasehold Officer to manage our leasehold Service and process Right to Buy. Now is an exciting time to be joining the housing team as we are currently undergoing our ‘getting our house in order’ transformation programme.  We are looking for someone who is excited by improving services for our residents.

You will have extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of Leasehold management to deliver high standards.  You will have experience of delivering housing best practice for either a local authority or registered provider.

We are a stock retained Council with approximately 2,500 tenanted properties and approximately 400 leaseholders situated in Essex close to the M25.

You will also need to demonstrate the following:

  • ‘Pride’ in your work and ambition to want too deliver high standards.
  • A good working  knowledge of shared ownership and right to buy
  • A positive attitude when dealing with Customers
