I would like to know the following:
* The number of public health funerals/environmental funerals paid for in part or in full by the council over the past 10 financial years (i.e from 2004-05 to 2013-14) broken down with a figure for each individual year.
* For each year I would also like to know the total amount that the council has spent funding these funerals.

Whilst details of the number of Public Health funerals are recorded by the Council the information you request in relation to individual costs is not available and therefore we are unable to answer this particular part of your enquiry. Attached is a list of Public Health Act funerals that have taken place between 2006 and 2010.
Information regarding more recent Public Health Act funerals is now available on the Brentwood Borough Council website, which is up to date, and is up dated at the end of every month.
