Council tax support

Request

In April 2013 the Council Tax Benefits scheme was devolved to local authorities and the amount of money provided by central government to fund local Council Tax Support schemes was reduced. In April 2014 the overall amount of money provided by central government was reduced further. Some people are now paying council tax for the first time and others are paying increased council tax.

(1) Of those people not in receipt of a discount of 100% on their council tax as a result of either the changes in 2013 or 2014, how many are currently in arrears?

(2) How many of those in arrears are (a) a registered carer, (b) in receipt of any recorded disability-related benefits, (c) in receipt of a war widow/widower's pension or (d) a war disablement pension?
