Q1 is the car park adjacent to Shenfield Cricket Club owned by BBC. (This would appear to be the case under the terms of the Courage Family Covenant).

Q2 if so, what percentage of the fees we understand are charged for parking by SCC, are remitted to BBC for reinvestment in the community?

Q3 if fees have been remitted, how much and for how long?

Q4 if not why is SCC allowed to keep the charges levied.

Q5 how many car parking spaces are involved?

Q6 was SCC ever given permission to charge?

Q1 is the car park adjacent to Shenfield Cricket Club owned by BBC. (This would appear to be the case under the terms of the Courage Family Covenant).

The Council are the registered owners of the freehold title of land known as the Courage Playing fields . The land is registered under title number EX762070 and the car park is situate upon Council land and managed by the Shenfield Cricket Club. The freehold title is subject to restrictive covenants, one of which refers to the Cricket Club in name only and not by precise location or boundary on the fields .

Q2 if so, what percentage of the fees we understand are charged for parking by SCC, are remitted to BBC for reinvestment in the community?

None. The licence fees are remitted to the Club and the Club manage the car park and are expected to maintain the same.

Q3 if fees have been remitted, how much and for how long?

Not applicable.

Q4 if not why is SCC allowed to keep the charges levied.

To manage and maintain the car park

Q5 how many car parking spaces are involved?

There are no marked parking spaces on site, but the Council have entered in to 8 licence agreements with the Club and respective tenants.

Q6 was SCC ever given permission to charge?

The licence agreements, to which the Council are party to, provide that the Licence fee is paid directly to the Club from the respective tenants.

Q7 if the answer is a negative one, what remedial action will BBC be taking
