Brief Description About Research Survey
An invitation has been extended to you for your participation in the research project titled: ‘Construction Planning and Control Techniques to Minimize Cost Overruns in UK Road Projects’. The aim of this research dissertation is to identify weaknesses in current cost control practices in the UK road construction industry and subsequently develop mitigation procedures aimed at minimizing cost overruns in such projects.
This research study has been approved by the ethics committee of Brunel University and more information about your role in this research can be found in the participant information sheet attached to this letter.
As part of this research, a survey of senior and experienced stakeholders in the UK road construction industry is being carried out to investigate cost overrun in road construction projects regarding their frequency, common causes, the cost control techniques being implemented and the shortcomings of these techniques.
I can advise you that the information you require is held by Essex County Council and not Brentwood Borough Council.
