1. How many households are paying a) increased council tax or b) council tax for the first time since April this year as a result of the change from a national council tax benefit scheme to a localised council tax support scheme?

2. Of these households, how many contain (a) a registered carer, (b) someone in receipt of disability-related benefits, (c) a veteran or (d) a war widow?

3. Of those households paying increased council tax or council tax for the first time, how many were in arrears as of the end of June 2013 including a breakdown - if available - of how many of these have (a) a registered carer, (b) someone in receipt of disability-related benefits, (c) a veteran or (d) a war widow?

4. Of those paying increased council tax or council tax for the first time and who are in arrears, how many have had a summons issued against them since April 1 2013, including a breakdown - if available - of how many of these are in households with (a) a registered carer, (b) someone in receipt of disability-related benefits, (c) a veterans or (d) a war widow?

How many people across the borough are paying a) increased council tax or b) council tax for the first time since April this year as a result of the change from a national council tax benefit scheme to a localised council tax support scheme?

1,012 current recipients

2. Of these people, how many are (a) a registered carer, (b) someone in receipt of disability-related benefits, (c) a veteran or (d) a war widow?

a) Nil (these should have been identified and are being granted additional support)

3. Of those people paying increased council tax or council tax for the first time, how many were in arrears as of the end of August 2013 including a breakdown of how many of these are (a) a registered carer, (b) someone in receipt of disability-related benefits, (c) a veteran or (d) a war widow?

1046 (these are people who are or have at some point received a council tax support discount). The number of ctr recipients is a fluid number.
