Traffic Wardens

I would like to make a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

- Please tell me how much compensation money has been paid to traffic wardens as a result of accidents at work in the past five financial years (1 April 2008 - 31 March 2013)

- Please also break this down per accident, giving details of a) the accident b) injuries sustained c) compensation paid out d) the year

Brentwood Borough Council use Civil Enforcement officers to carry out Enforcement of the off street parking places orders in it's car parks. The on street Enforcement of the traffic regulation orders is administered by Chelmsford City Council on behalf of the Highways authority which is Essex County Council. Again the officers are civil parking enforcement officers and not traffic wardens as these ceased to be operational once the police were no longer involved and parking enforcement changed from criminal to civil for many parking related matters, although not all.
in answer to your enquiry, there have been no compensation payments made to Enforcement officers in the past five financial years and no accidents or injury sustained during this period either.
