Sale of Recreational Space

Request

I’d like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act. I’m happy to receive a response electronically.

1) Between 1st April 2009 and 22nd October 2012, please list each piece of “green” or recreational space which was sold by the authority. Please include:

               i. The name and/or location of the space, including a postcode
              ii. The size of the space in metres2
                 
iii. The primary use of the space, pre-sale
              iv. The organisation the land was sold to
               v. The sale price
             vii. The date of the sale
            viii. The reason for the sale
             ix. The intended use for the proceeds from the sale, if any 

2) Please list each piece of “green” or recreational space which the authority is currently marketing for sale, or has resolved to sell. Please include:

              i. The name or location of the space, including a postcode
             ii. The size of the space in metres2
               
iii. The primary use of the space
            iv. An estimated value of the land
             v. The reason for the proposed sale

 My interpretation of “green” space would include: sports pitches, recreation grounds, allotments, grass verges, grazing land, school playgrounds etc. If your definition of green space varies greatly from this, please give your own definition. 

Only in the event that my request is likely to be too costly to respond to , please disregard the questions 1 vii. & viii and 2 xi.

Freedom of Information Request 4978 regarding sale of ‘green’ or ‘recreational space’

Thank you for the below mentioned Freedom of Information Request; I can confirm that this Authority has not sold any ‘green’ or ‘recreational space’ between 1st April 2009 to 22nd October 2012.

The Council does have a process in place for dealing with any land sale requests should any arise in the future.
