I have recently emailed many local authorities, including your own, in an attempt to gather information on car parks etc. where one may park a motor-home in their authority area. After over a month of waiting I received no reply to 93% of my emails.
In order to gather this information I now ask under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the locations of all car parks in your area that can accommodate such vehicles and the length of stay permitted.
For the purposes of this request, as obviously you will need some data to go on, I shall suggest a length of 9 metres or less, width of 3 metres or less and height of 4 metres or less.
I write in response to your freedom of information request relating to Motor Home parking.
I can advise that all Car parks in the Borough of Brentwood have the following restrictions on vehicle size:
6 metres length
2.1 metre Height
2.3 metre Width
The car parks are as follows:
Brentwood Town Centre
William Hunter Way pay and display with all day access charges apply to 10.45pm Mon - Sun
Coptfold road Multi Storey Car park barrier controlled charges apply to 10.45 Mon –Thurs and 8.45pm Fri and Sat (closing times)
Chatham Way Car Park barrier controlled charges apply to 7pm Mon-Sat free on Sunday
Hunter Avenue Car Park pay and display all day access
Friars Avenue Car park pay and display all day access
Market place car park free parking all day access
Bell mead car park free parking all day access
I would advise that the Borough does not dedicated motor home parking. All vehicles must be able to park within a marked bay to avoid contravening the off street parking places orders that apply in the Borough.
