Can you please supply the following information which is requested under the FoI regulations.

3; Please supply a copy of the business case or justification for the installation of the clock described in 3 above.
The 2012/13 budget will be set at the Special Council meeting on the 21st February 2012 and until that is approved, any information on the changes to the budget is not available.
With regard to the 2012/12 budget, full details can be found on the Council’s website (www.brentwood-council.gov.uk/minutesdocs/agendas/amdoc2143.pdf) This describes the setting of the 2011/12 budget and details the changes. You will see from this report that the Council does not organise its decisions into sections/departments but rather on policy objectives which seek to reduce back office costs whilst protecting or investing in front line services.
The cost of resiting the clock is estimated to be £17,000. The work has been funded by a capital grant from the Azzizes Trust of £10,000. The Council wished to see the historic clock resited on the High Street rather that sit in storage as part of the High Street improvement programme. As such, there is no cost/benefit analysis/business case.
