Specifcally, I would like to know:

How many tenant complaints have been made about the state of local authority housing, for each of the last five years
-
How many of these complaints resulted in work being done on a tenant’s property, broken down for each of the last five years
-
How many units of local authority housing do you have, broken down for each of the last five years
-
How many people are on the waiting list for a council house, broken down for each of the last five years

You have requested the following information:

How many tenant complaints have been made about the state of local authority housing, for each of the last five years (see below)

How many of these complaints resulted in work being done on a tenant’s property, broken down for each of the last five years (see below)

How many units of local authority housing do you have, broken down for each of the last five years. 2946 current properties. Please clarify what you mean be ‘broken down’.

How many people are on the waiting list for a council house, broken down for each of the last five years. We do not have a ‘Waiting List’. We operate a CBL system. The Allocations Policy (which covers eligibility and therefore numbers of accepted applicants) has changed and therefore there would not be a true correlation. Please clarify what type of breakdown you require, or if you simply want a current global amount.

2014/15
10 Complaints made about Housing in Total
4 of those 10 complaints were directly about state/disrepair of housing stock
3 of those 4 complaints were offered a repair/compensation as a direct result of the complaint
2 of those 4 complaints already had repairs works in progress/complete

2015/16
32 Complaints made about Housing in Total
6 of those 32 complaints were directly about state/disrepair of housing stock
3 of those 6 complaints were offered a repair/compensation as a direct result of the complaint
2 of those 6 complaints already had repairs works in progress/complete
1 of those 32 complaints were about a Garage repair of which works were already scheduled
1 of those 32 complaints was a corrupt file
1 of those 32 complaints could be resolved by the tenants actions within the property (damp)

2016/17
32 Complaints made about Housing in Total
9 of those 32 complaints were directly about state/disrepair of housing stock
3 of those 9 complaints were offered a repair/compensation as a direct result of the complaint
6 of those 9 complaints already had repairs works in progress/complete
1 of those 32 complaints were about a Garage repair of unusual nature
1 of those 9 complaints had no logged resolution
1 of those 9 complaints was previously offered a repair that they had refused

2017/Present
25 Complaints made about Housing in Total so far
5 of those 32 complaints were directly about state/disrepair of housing stock
1 of those 5 complaints were about temporary accommodation disrepair
2 of those 5 complaints were offered a repair/compensation as a direct result of the complaint
1 of those 5 complaints were offered a visit to inspect the property
2 of those 5 complaints already had repairs in progress/complete
