Land Promotion companies

1: The percentage of housing development planning permissions which are granted to those applications using Land Promotion Companies
2: The percentage of housing development planning permissions which are waiting to be built on.

The Council annually monitors the amount of new housing that has been built, is under construction or has planning permission (but where construction has not yet started). Residential data is monitored by financial year, i.e. 01 April to 31 March.

This information is published on the Council's website and can be viewed on the Council's DataShare site, which provides data in an "open format" that is reusable and available to everyone for social or commercial purposes.

Data relating to the Council's DataShare site for 'Planning Services and Monitoring' is available to view using the link:

The 'Residential Land Monitor' was last updated for the monitoring period ending 31 March 2016. Available data is published as soon as possible and the publication of the 2016/17 residential data will take place in due course. To view and download the 'Residential Land Monitor' follow the link

In terms of specific land promotion companies bringing forward planning permissions for housing development, unfortunately the Council does not distinguish between applicant type in terms of monitoring data. However, information relating to the planning agent and company can be obtained through an analysis of publicly available data that can be accessed via the Council's website. To obtain this information enter the 'planning permission number' (found on the 'Residential Land Monitor' for each planning application listed) into the Council's planning application search tool, located at
