I should be grateful if you would provide me with the following information in respect of each domestic gas boiler installation reported to the council's Building
Control Department for the period from 13th February 2014 to 12th February 2015:
Address where the boiler was installed
Notification date of boiler installation
For the avoidance of doubt, I do not wish to be provided with the name of the householder where the boiler was installed.
This request is made in keeping with the Competent Persons Scheme pursuant to the Building Regulations &c. (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (Statutory Instrument
2012 No. 3119) which amend The Building Regulations 2010 (Statutory Instrument 2010 No. 2214).
As you will be aware, Regulation 13 of the 2012 Regulations require local authorities to store copies of notices and certificates relating to domestic gas boiler
installations in a 'retrievable form'.
Unfortunately the system whereby we receive notifications under the competent persons scheme is currently not working and so we are unable to provide this information. This is an issue that our IT department are currently working with IDOX to resolve. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
