1. How many Full Time Equivalent staff does the council have in positions dedicated to preventing and detecting fraud committed against the council?



2. How much does the Council spend on the provision of a 'counter fraud' function, every year, for the last 3 financial years?



3. What is the budget of the council in preventing and detecting fraud?

4. Does the council pay any other organisation to deliver any elements of a counter fraud function, as defined in the government's 'Fighting Fraud Locally' strategy?



5. If the answer to point 3 above is yes, please provide the total value of spend by the council, every year, for the last 3 financial years.

1. How many Full Time Equivalent staff does the council have in positions dedicated to preventing and detecting fraud committed against the council?
Staff involved with preventing and detecting fraud are responsible for a variety of other duties, therefore it is not possible to quantify how much of their time is spent on that activity.

2. How much does the Council spend on the provision of a 'counter fraud' function, every year, for the last 3 financial years?
As the cost of staff involved with preventing and detecting fraud perform a variety of other duties the information to determine how much the Council spends on a ‘counter fraud’ function is not available.
