In respect of your Freedom of Information request on Garden Waste please find the responses to your replies as detailed below:-

1. Do you charge for garden waste collections? Yes

2. If yes:

a. How much do you charge? £41 per year

b. Do you have an online offer? No offers – details of Brown bins service is detailed on our website – link http://www.brentwood.gov.uk/index.php?cid=1339

c. What payment mechanisms do you offer to your customers? Please also confirm which payment providers you use and/or IT systems to facilitate payments. Customers need to pay on-line by card or by calling our Customer Services Call Centre and pay over the phone following reminder renewals or for the first time if new customers. We use Capita for card payments

d. When does your scheme run from and to? From the date of payment for 12 months.

e. How many customers use your scheme? If possible, please break this down across each channel – we currently have 4156 customers with brown bins.

f. On average, how many garden waste bins does each property have: Usually only one bin, but some larger properties in the Borough have two.

g. Is there a maximum number of bins permitted per property, and if so, how many. No maximum number.

4. Which back office IT waste system(s) do you use to manage your waste collection services? We have our own in house system.
