I would like to make a Freedom of Information Request regarding the ownership of the changing room / pavilion that is located on Seymour Field, Ingatestone.
I am aware that Brentwood Borough Council owns the actual field but I would like details on the specifics of who owns the building. If the building is owned by Brentwood
Borough Council I am also requesting a copy of the document to prove this.
Thank you for your request for information dated 10 February.
This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
I write to confirm that the Brentwood Borough Council are the freeholders of the pavilion/changing room. Any buildings on the land at the time of the transfer of land to the Council, forms part of the land. Similarly, any buildings constructed on the land subsequent to the transfer of land to the Council, assuming the building is not a chattel, would become part of the realty, that is, part of the land owned by the Council, even though the Parish Council may have constructed and/or made changes to the buildings on the land. I enclose a copy of the office copy entries which confirms that the Council is the freeholder owner of the land.
