Please will you kindly tell me how many (A) men, (B) women & (C) children who were accepted to be homeless by your council in each of the last 5 years have since committed suicide or died in each of those years?
You have requested details of how many (A) men, (B) women and (C) children who were accepted to be homeless by Brentwood Borough Council in each of the last five years that have since committed suicide or died in each of those years. This data is not held in a collective form and your request would require us to look into each individual housing file to assess the reason for a termination of a tenancy. Such data is not stored centrally but may be stored within the individual housing files if we notified that the person had passed away. It should be noted that if we were notified of the death, we may not have been notified how a person died.
We estimate that to identify the specific information that you are requesting over a five year period would take longer than 18 hours, and therefore your request for information has been refused on that ground that the cost of compliance would exceed the limit set out in Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act.
