a) At the time of your enquiry there are 11 parks in the Borough
b) At the time of your enquiry there are 7 village greens in the Borough.
c) At the time of your enquiry there are no community gardens in the Borough
d) At the time of your enquiry there are 27 woodlands in the Borough.
e) At the time of your enquiry there are 15 allotment sites in the Borough.
f) At the time of your enquiry there are 4 country parks/nature reserves in the Borough.

This figure is unchanged since 2009/10.

What is the total number of publicly accessible a) parks, b) village greens, c) community gardens, d) woodland, e) allotments, f) nature reserves in your local authority area for which members of the public are charged to access (including spaces which only charge for access on particular days of the year or for certain events), and what was the corresponding figure for each in 2009/10?

At the time of your enquiry the only sites that have charges made for access are King George's Playing Fields, Thorndon Country Park and Weald Country Park which charge for parking only. Access on foot is still free of charge.

This figure is unchanged since 2009/10.

3. What is your local authority's total budget allocation for spend on a) parks, b) village greens, c) community gardens, d) woodland, e) allotments, f) nature reserves in your local authority area for 2014/15, and what was the total budget allocation for each in 2009/10?

4. How many staff are employed by your local authority to maintain or manage a) parks, b) village greens, c) community gardens, d) woodland, e) allotments, f) nature reserves in your local authority area in the year 2014/15, and how many were employed for each in 2009/10?

At the time of your enquiry the Council currently employees five members of staff to manage the open space estate which includes all of the above designations and a further 21 full time staff for maintenance duties. In addition to this 7 or 8 additional casual members of staff will be employed on short term contracts for the summer period.

In 2009/10 the number of staff employed to manage the open space estate, which includes all of the above designations was 4 with a further 21 full time staff for maintenance duties. In addition to this 15 - 18 additional casual members of staff would have been employed on short term contracts for the summer period.

5. What is the total number of publicly accessible a) parks, b) village greens, c) community gardens, d) woodland, e) allotments, f) nature reserves currently in your local authority area which have limited opening hours, and what was the figure in 2009/10?

At the time of your enquiry none of the Councils open spaces have limited open hours with pedestrian access available 24 hours a day.

At the time of your enquiry these figures are not held by the Council due to areas being outside of the Council's ownership or control i.e. allotments and village greens.

What was the total number of publicly accessible a) parks, b) village greens, c) community gardens, d) woodland, e) allotments, f) nature reserves currently in your local authority area for which the management or services are provided by an outside organisation rather than the local authority, and what was the corresponding figure for each in 2009/10?

At the time of your enquiry the only areas that are administered, managed and maintained by outside organisations are the 15 allotment sites.
