1: How many non-commercial properties have been empty for more than six months? If possible categorise them such as 'due to poor state of repair'.

2: How many properties are currently available and ready to move into? (categorise such as two bedroom flat etc.)

3. How many people are currently on a waiting list and what is the average time somebody is on the waiting list for housing for?

4. What is the most commonly requested type of property? (3 bedroom house, bungalow etc.)

5. Has the council/housing association got any plans to build more council/social homes? If so when is the building likely to commence? (categorise by type of property)

6. How many tenants are currently seeking rehousing? (to down size or increase size - please specify)

7. How many tenants currently have applications in via the Right to Buy scheme?

8. How many properties were sold via Right to Buy in the last 12 months - January-December 2014?

None at present

One – 1 bedroom sheltered flat

3. How many people are currently on a waiting list and what is the average time somebody is on the waiting list for housing for?

603 – the Council operate CBL which allows applicants choice of where they wish to live and not all applicants actively participate in CBL pro-actively wich will extend waiting times. This will also be dependant on the level of priority awarded to an applicant, homeless, unsuitable housing, medical/children priority. However the average wait taking into account the above and property availability;

2 bed flat 31 months
2 bed house 3 years
3 bed flat 3 years
3 bed house 3 years

4. What is the most commonly requested type of property? (3 bedroom house, bungalow etc.)
Applicants circumstances are assessed in relation to their bedroom need in accordance with the Allocations Policy


5. Has the council/housing association got any plans to build more council/social homes? If so when is the building likely to commence? (categorise by type of property)
Currently under investigation to build in future

To the 14.1.2015 we have 13 live RTB Applications

8. How many properties were sold via Right to Buy in the last 12 months - January-December 2014?

There have been 16 RTB sales within this stated time period, and 1 purchase of the Council’s remaining 50.41% share (49.59% was original sold under the Rents to Mortgage).
